Poster:

Poster sessions with the board size of 120cm by 90cm will be provided. Participants are encouraged to have many poster presentations for extensive communications.

Publication:

All the papers presented at the symposium will be published as the proceedings of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology. After peer review, the manuscripts appropriate to the scope of the journal Current Applied Physics http://www.elsevier.com/locate/cap will be published as regular papers of the journal. The limit of the page length for an invited paper (poster) is six (four) printed pages.

Background:

The international workshop on the Quantum Transport in Synthetic Metals (QTSM) has been held in Seoul since 1999. From the year 2001, the Quantum-Functional Semiconductor Research Center (QSRC) in Dongguk University (DGU) joined to coorganize the workshop. In 2002, the workshop is extended to the multilateral symposium between the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST) and the Foreign Academies. The scope of the symposium is to exchange the academic activities in physics, chemistry and biology betw

Scope:

The following subjects of the nanostructural synthetic metals and quantum-functional semiconductors together with the recent results on high Tc superconductors and manganites will be mainly emphasized:

  1. Synthesis and analysis
  2. Optoelectronic properties
  3. Electrical and magnetic properties
  4. The effect of high magnetic field
  5. Electron Spin Resonance (ESR) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)
